Welcome to the website of Action for Christ. We are in the process of creating our new website but this temporary page will give you a brief overview of our current ministries.
In April 2011 we changed our name from Mission for Christ to Action for Christ. And our formerly named magazine, 'Mission News' is now called 'Action News'. We are in the process of producing the spring issue, which will be sent out to all our supporters during February.

Our Development Director, John Coltman, writes:
2011 was a challenging and exciting year.
In March 2011, a new board was appointed and subsequently my appointment as Development Director.
We also decided it was appropriate for us to change our name and are now known as Action for Christ, with our magazine renamed ‘Action News.’
Our aims and ethos are still the same; to serve the Small Church; all that has changed is our name.
During 2011, we worked hard to achieve the takeover of the Slack Top Centre in Yorkshire. This takeover was necessary to enable the work at Slack Top to continue
We are also in the process of creating a new website for the Slack Top Centre, but there is a temporary page, which can be accessed by going to www.slacktopcentre.org.uk.
In 2011, we saw a large increase in the volume of our design and print ministry. To date we will have printed well over 30,000 invites, tracts etc. That means that over 30,000 people have been contacted in some way with a Gospel message or invite.
In April 2011 we held our first joint conference with Bethesda Baptist Church (One day conference for the small churches) and are looking forward to this year’s conference in April.
In August 2011 a team from Action for Christ spent a week in Scarborough supporting the church plant/outreach from Ryedale Evangelical Church, Pickering (Grace Fellowship). AFC designed and printed hundreds of different tracts, which were handed out to passing folk. Many stopped at the stall, which had a banner saying, 'If you could ask God one question, what would it be?' (see right) to talk to the team, giving an opportunity to share the Gospel with them.
What is so encouraging is to see the faithful few in these churches seeking to follow the Great Commission. Without your prayerful support, none of this would have been possible. Please do continue with us as we begin 2012.
